We Will Remember them!

Another year, another Remembrance weekend! The most important job the band do every year and it was another successful weekend! The band performed in a short concert on the Saturday to an audience at the Surbiton British Legion Club. Performing a mixture of Military Marches and concert medleys, it was a night to remember for all and a night where we remembered those who gave their lives so we could be here today.

Remembrance Sunday involved a march up Surbiton Hill to the cenotaph where the band played a number of hymns whilst all lay down their wreaths and the last post was played. This followed two poems by two of our younger members Cadet Sophie Nicholas and Senior Cadet Matthew Corbett before Marching back down the hill to enjoy some food and drinks.

It was a brilliant weekend for all and for a very special cause. Onto next year!
